We anticipate publication of “Opening Doors” in 2010 and hope that these personal stories will contribute to greater recognition

The Willow Court and Barracks Working Group has announced the date for the inaugural Spring Festival to be centered on the Willow Court and Barracks Precinct. The Festival will be held on the 16 – 17 October 2010.   The Theme for the Festival will be a celebration of renewal and recovery,

There is a new developer on the scene. Some Councillors have met him informally to look at his ideas & then go away & make the DVC an offer. He has a very interesting retail development proposed, which includes the restoration and conversion of the oval buildings (DEFG) into apartments.

I was talking to a few people at the Open Day and they mentioned that there was a time capsule placed in the forecourt of the Willow Barracks in the 1970’s. When I heard this it rang bell, I think I read or heard about it quite some time
