Open Dorm in Royal Derwent Hospital

I came across this photo of one of the Wards in Royal Derwent Hospital and just had to share it.

This classic photo provides people with a unique view of what the open dorms were like, equipped with there beds and bed side table.

Not all Wards in Royal Derwent Hospital had open Wards like this and I have narrowed it down to 4 Wards either Ward 2, Ward 8, Ward 9 or Ward 11.

Based off the lino I'm quite confident that this was Ward 11 as I can confirm that it had this type of Lino and can demonstrate that the others had a different Lino when I lasted visited in 2009/2010.

That's not to say that the other Wards did not change there Lino since this photo was taken.
