The book “Opening Doors” will be based on a collection of stories told by people who had direct experience of life in Tasmania’s mental institution in the last fifty years. We anticipate publication of “Opening Doors” in 2010 and hope that these personal stories will contribute to greater recognition

The Willow Court and Barracks Working Group has announced the date for the inaugural Spring Festival to be centered on the Willow Court and Barracks Precinct. The Festival will be held on the 16 – 17 October 2010.   The Theme for the Festival will be a celebration of renewal and recovery,

There is a new developer on the scene. Some Councillors have met him informally to look at his ideas & then go away & make the DVC an offer. He has a very interesting retail development proposed, which includes the restoration and conversion of the oval buildings (DEFG) into apartments.
