Rusty old REO bus that called Willow Court home is on the move

Anyone who has visited Willow Court, the Antique Centre or Patchwork Cafe over the last few years would instantly remember the old bus that was parked next to the Nurses Cottage.

The 1948 REO was quite a striking and unique bus, and I always hoped that someone would bring her back to her former glory, alas someone has.

I wish Paul all the best, and I would love to see it driving through Willow Court sometime soon.

Below is a story from The Mercury

A FUNKY old bus which has spent many years languishing at New Norfolk’s Willow Court Antique Centre is being restored to transport tourists around southern Tasmania.

Paul Oakley, who runs a sheet metal and industrial insulation business, has bought the 1948 model REO bus and plans to restore it to its original state — a task likely to take some time.
