#### Tasmania’s Auditor General has criticised the sale of New Norfolk’s Royal Derwent Hospital and Willow Court.

The State Government sold the property to the Derwent Valley Council and businessman Gordon Fyfe in 2001 for less than $500,000.

Auditor Mike Blake criticised the council and Mr Fyfe for failing to deliver on the promised sale outcomes, resulting in a “disappointing” result for the region.

Some land and houses were sold for about $10 million.

Mr Blake found the sale price was appropriate.
