Yesterday a small group of volunteers from Friends of Willow Court under supervision of Heritage restoration expert Rod Quarrell undertook the task of restoring the old gates (1938) on the Ave that lead on to the Willow Court site. The gates have not had any TLC for decades and surprisingly were in decent condition compared to the nearby Wards.
An interesting discovery was also unearthed during the clean up, according to New Norfolk News after removing the old white paint they noticed that the gates were once blue.
According to New Norfolk News the remaining work will be hopefully completed next week.
This is an awesome start to what hopefully is the beginning of the restoration of the wards at Willow Court.
