“A friend and I recently took a trip to New Norfolk to shoot some autumn images. One place I’d wanted to visit for some time whilst there was Willow Court (also known as the The Royal Derwent Mental Institution). Much of this place is now rubble, they are systematically destroying all the buildings, including Ward 5 which had the reputation of being
haunted. We missed visiting that ward by days it seems as it was demolished in April this year.
The vandalism this place has suffered is quite phenomenal – here are a
selection of images from our day, all entitled Willow Court.”
