Willow Court and Barracks Working Group

 

PRESS RELEASE

The Willow Court and Barracks Working Group has issued a call for volunteers to assist it in a community clean up of the Willow Court and Barracks site.  The working bee is planned for the weekend of 5th and 6th of November commencing at 10:00 AM on both days.  Activities will include cleaning out the dirt and rubbish in the Alonnah, Bronte wards and the industrial therapy building and tidying the grounds around them.  The work in the grounds will include removal of weeds and rubbish in the secure exercise yards as well as the gardens around Bronte ward.  Each day, the working bee will be followed by a sausage sizzle for all participants.

 

To assist the Committee to finalize the work schedule, and catering, for the weekend intending volunteers are asked to pre-register by either telephoning the New Norfolk Council Chambers on 62618500 or by emailing their name, a contact address and telephone number toexecutiveassistant@dvc.tas.gov.au

 

Volunteers are also requested to bring their own protective clothing and hand tools.
