Willow Court/Royal Derwent 2014/15- What a Disgrace Facebook Page

Came upon the Willow Court/Royal Derwent 2014/2015 page this morning, and thought to myself, why do we need another Willow Court page, so I decided to see what it was all about.

When I first read some of the comments I didn’t know how to feel to be honest, although once I read the pages description etc, I understood the purpose of this page and believe that it has merit.

Although I think the DVC has done some great work with the buildings they own recently, I think more pressure needs to be put on SOME of the private owners in regards to particular buildings. In saying so and not knowing the full situation I’m guessing some pressure also has to be put on the DVC also.

I know its not an easy task, but I think DVC and private owners working together collaboratively would be a positive outcome for everyone involved and in turn would help protect, secure and restore these beautiful old buildings.

Lets not forget some great work has been done by private owners in Willow Court, and if it was not for them, these buildings may have been destroyed beyond repair, so they need to be congratulated for that. However there is some buildings that need a little TLC.

The page was only born yesterday and has already received 135 likes, it seems like there is a lot of fed up locals who want some of the owners to secure and upkeep the old Willow Court site.
